Through a supported living scheme, vulnerable individuals with disabilities and complex physical health needs are able to live as independently as possible in their own homes, whilst receiving support and assistance from Aspire as and when required.
Supported living is ideal for adults with all types of learning disabilities who wish to live an independent, normal life. With supported living, people are tenants in their own right. They live with support in various types of accommodation, from bungalows to flats, located throughout the City of Salford.
Supported living is about giving people the opportunity to live normal lives. The programmes are designed to teach and develop the essential life skills that are required in day-to-day life, from cooking and cleaning to remaining in employment. For those who choose supported living, they can live their lives in a home they
call their own – with minimal supervision; however Aspire will always be available to provide a helping hand if they should need it.
The Aspire Supported Living Network is made up of a variety of 19 beautiful, built-for-purpose and welcoming homes that are situated throughout the City of Salford. Each location provides safe and comfortable support for every tenant and each home can accommodate between three to five adults on either a short or long-term basis. Depending on the needs of the individuals that choose to stay in the supported lodgings, the houses will either have a number of dedicated care providers on hand to offer 24-hour support, or will receive periodic visits from a care worker if the tenants are registered to receive our ‘Minimal Support’ service.
If you feel that you could benefit from spending some time in one of our supported living houses, or would like to take a closer look at a property, contact us today. Alternatively, if you are a Salford-based social worker who is looking for supported lodgings for a particular client of yours, please get in touch with the Aspire team today – we’ll be only too happy to help.
