Support Worker – Worsley / Walkden

An opportunity has arisen for Level 2 Support Workers to work within our supported tenancies in the Walkden / worsley area of Salford.

Aspire is an Independent, not-for-profit employee owned organization based in and around the Salford area. We have an opportunity to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our supported accommodation teams in the Walkden / worsley area of Salford. Our aim at Aspire is to deliver high quality, specialist support services to vulnerable adults and young people across the city.

As part of a team of support workers you will work with adults who may have learning difficulties, autism, complex health needs and physical disabilities.

Applicants must demonstrate a sound value base and have the ability to work and think in a person-centered way. Excellent communication skills are required to undertake the role and a commitment to work flexibly. Previous work experience in the care profession would be an advantage, as would a clean current driving license, but this is not essential. An Enhanced DBS disclosure is a requirement for this position.

We have a range of hours available from  20 to 30 hours per week with various shift patterns, which could include early shifts, late shifts, sleep-ins, waking nights and weekends as required.

As a support worker you will need the ability to encourage the people we support to become active members of their local and wider communities. You will have a keen interest in promoting the health & wellbeing of individuals, particularly around supporting people to fulfil their potential. You must also have a passion to want to make a real and positive difference to people’s lives

An Enhanced DBS disclosure is a requirement for this position.
