Kitchen Assistant – Eccles / Monton Area

Aspire is an Independent, not-for-profit employee owned organisation based in and around the Salford area. We have an opportunity to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic kitchen assistant to join our respite team in the Eccles/ Monton area of Salford. Our aim at Aspire is to deliver high quality, specialist support services to vulnerable adults and young people across the city.

As part of the kitchen team, you will work with adults who may have learning difficulties, autism, complex health needs and physical disabilities.

Applicants must demonstrate a sound value base and have the ability to work and think in a person-centered way. Excellent communication skills are required to undertake the role and a commitment to work flexibly. Previous work experience in catering is essential. An Enhanced DBS disclosure is a requirement for this position.

You will work 18 hours per week, Saturday & Sunday and bank holidays are required.

As a kitchen assistant you will need the ability to delivery delicious and nutritious food to every customer and keep a clean and organized kitchen. You will have a keen interest in promoting the health & wellbeing of individuals, and adhere to food safety, allergen and dietary requirements. You must also have a passion to want to make a real and positive difference to people’s lives

Successful applicants will receive an induction, specialist training and ongoing support from a creative and forward thinking experienced management team.
