Huge congratulations must go to our Waterside Resource Centre in Clifton as they have officially retained their official Autism Accreditation after undergoing an intensive 3 day review by the National Autistic Society.
The review took place back in June and the final report went to the Accreditation Panel at the end of August. We can now confirm that Waterside’s accreditation has been retained until at least 2018, having already held it since 2008.
By achieving Autism Accredited status, the Waterside Resource Centre have been able to prove that they have a specialised knowledge of autism and that this knowledge informs the resources and management of the centre and the support plan they have in place the people who use their services.
It also means that the staff and the many people who visit Waterside can enjoy the benefits of being connected to an internationally recognised body like the National Autistic Society, such as access to support from their expert advisors and attending their community network meetings, amongst many others.
The Waterside is just one of Aspire’s Accredited Services along with Supported Living to have been given Autism Accreditation across Salford and Greater Manchester. We hope you will join us in extending a massive well done to Waterside for being able to retain their accreditation for over a decade.
